Huawei opens first customer service center in Spain

Publicerat av Cecilia Helland fredag, 21 april 2017.

Chinese smartphone and wearables manufacturer Huawei has taken a new step in its plan to increase its business in Spain with this new customer service center in Madrid.

The first one in Spain and second in Europe after the one in Milan (Italy) which opened a few months ago.

With this new center, Huawei, which is also an ICT solution provider, is meeting its goal of making customer service a priority. The center is part of its strategy to boost its after-sales service and in the next few months it will open a similar center in Malaga.

Pablo Wang, Country Manager Consumer BG at Huawei Spain, says, “We want to be close to our users from the start and this customer service center proves it”. Five specialists are already working at the facilities and the company will double the number of employees once the center is up and running smoothly.

The new customer service center will set the standard for a network of 50 official express repair centers that the company established last year, and when the center is working at full capacity it will repair around 1,000 phones a month and will advise around 600 customers.

Customers will be able to book an appointment by phone and they can use the rest area while an engineer repairs their phones. This area has a phone charging point, free Wi-Fi and computers for customers. If the cell phone cannot be repaired immediately, customers will be offered a loan phone.

As well as the technical service, the brands wants to offer its customers a full experience – from advice to configure their phones to a store with complements and accessories, and the chance to get to know more about Huawei products and test its latest features in the 90 m2 demo area. There will also be a training area for technology courses and workshops.

To create and manage this center, Huawei is working with a partner, SmartLabs, which has been designing solutions for manufacturers and operators for more than 15 years.

Huawei is currently the second smartphone seller in Spain and third in the world.
